Group, Organization, and Corporate donations
Don Bosco’s life mission was focused on assisting poor and orphaned children. During the industralization of northern Italy poor kids left their rural family farms and came to cities like Turin and Milan to find factory jobs. These poor kids were left alone to live in the city slums and worked long hours six days a week. There were no child labor laws.
Don Bosco’s work with poor and orphaned kids continues today in Sri Lanka.Fr. Reginold Fernando, SDB belongs to a religious order that is called the Salesians of Don Bosco. He grew up in rural Sri Lanka before being selected to study advanced theology in Rome. Fr. Rui, now Assistant Provincial of the Salesians in Don Bosco in Sri Lanka, is the living spirit of Don Bosco in his zeal for teaching boys and girls practical skills.
Your gift will provide lasting solutions in educating Don Bosco’s boys and girls as they learn “animal husbandry” — the management and natural care of farm animals. These students can then go back to their villages to initiate these practical solutions to support their villages.
Your meaningful gift of $50.00 to $500.00 US dollars creates concrete economic and real job opportunities for Sri Lanka’s poor children.
As a premium member, your $500.00 USD donation will pay for the full tuition, lodging, and meals for 1 orphaned Don Bosco high school student learning agriculture and animal husbandry in Sri Lanka
